Welcome to Santa Lucia Altstetten, a delightful Italian restaurant nestled on Badenerstrasse 686, in the vibrant city of Zürich, Switzerland. Known for its inviting atmosphere and a passion for authentic Italian cuisine, this gem is quickly becoming a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Recently re-opened, Santa Lucia Altstetten boasts an impressive range of dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. From handcrafted pizzas to delectable pasta, each meal is crafted with fresh ingredients and a touch of Italian flair. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between casual and elegant, making it an ideal choice for both family dinners and gatherings with friends.
Customer experiences vary but highlight some core truths; the service is frequently praised for being friendly and attentive. André Liebkopf's review highlights the "super friendly and attentive service," and he appreciates the restaurant's child-friendly environment and fair pricing—an excellent invitation for families looking to indulge in a delicious meal without breaking the bank.
However, like any restaurant, Santa Lucia Altstetten has received its fair share of critiques. Eric's encounter with a slow service, waiting 40 minutes for the check, suggests a need for improvement in efficiency during peak hours. Yet, this is balanced by positive feedback from patrons like Tatjana Nevenovska and Antonija Nikolovski, who were enamored by the "amazing" service and the overall dining experience, indicating that Santa Lucia is making strides toward excellence.
The culinary offerings evoke a myriad of flavors, with reviews mentioning the pizza, pasta, and well-prepared dishes. While Marni Abigail noted the pizza edges being slightly burnt, she still found the food to be enjoyable, suggesting that the kitchen strikes a balance between imperfect execution and satisfying taste. This highlights the importance of not only good food but also customer service, as a slight oversight can often be forgiven in the hands of kind staff.
In summary, Santa Lucia Altstetten is a captivating destination for those seeking authentic Italian fare in Zürich. It's a place where you can indulge in comforting food, enjoy warm service, and experience a pleasant atmosphere. With ongoing improvements and a commitment to customer satisfaction, it seems this restaurant is on a promising journey. So gather your loved ones, savor a slice of their famous pizza, and create memorable moments at Santa Lucia Altstetten.

Food was really good. Service was terrible. I had to walk into the restaurant to find the waiter after waiting 40 minutes for a check after asking for it.

Service is nice and fast during lunch time. The pizza was a bit too burnt/ well done on the edges and super thin in the middle causing everything to fall into a mush. The food was still good, though. I would come here again.
